This work is called "Dare to be Different". It's my first piece of flower art with oil pastels!
The following works are also drawn with oil pastels on multimedia paper. It is a series that I call "小房子", or "Little Houses".
These are videos of contemporary/lyrical/ballet solos that I choreographed for Reflections competitions. I won Awards of Excellence at both the school and regional levels, and Awards of Merit at the state levels. I am very proud of myself for being able to make my own groove and find success with what I made.
And I was lucky enough to join the Largo High School Varsity Competitive Dance team, where I competed and performed pieces in jazz, hip hop, pom, and lyrical. Below are a few clips from dances that I did that won awards at the national level. And the rightmost video is the lyrical piece that we performed at the Winter Concert at Largo High.
I was at a ballet conservatory in Saint Petersburg for three years, where I strengthened my ballet and pointe technique. I was able to learn a lot through the daily classes and seasonal performances. Below is an excerpt from one of my favorite performances, Studio Project 3.
Before attending the ballet conservatory, I was a competitive dancer for nine years at Tutterow Dance Academy, competing at nationals and performing at local events in jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, contemporary, and modern. Here I am, performing my ballet solo, Romantic Girl, at nationals. I placed in the Top 10 of my division and earned a Judge's Choice Award!
I played the violin for two years, joining my local Youth Strings orchestra. I eventually made it to the first violin section in the All County Orchestra. The leftmost video is a song that I played at the Musical Performance Assessment, the middle video is a song I played in my school orchestra, and the rightmost video is a song that I played at a performance.
